Saudi Tabreed announces the commissioning of the DC plant in Riyadh

Saudi Tabreed, the exclusive provider of cooling services at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, is pleased to announce the commissioning of the District Cooling plant phase 1 with a total capacity of TR 20,000.

The construction of the plant started in late 2016 after Saudi Tabreed signed a concession agreement under BOOT framework with the General Authority of Civil Aviation for 32 years. After 3 years of continuous work with consultants, contractors and DC equipment suppliers, the commissioning of the plant is achieved in October 2019. The cooling plant is serving the terminals 1 to 4, the airport administration and the support facilities on an exclusive basis.
